WRITTEN
DIRECTIONS TO ACCOMMODATION
We
would appreciate it if you could telephone from the airport so that
we have an approximate idea of when to expect you, so that we can
welcome you and hand over the keys. This is especially important
if you are arriving in the early hours of the morning. If you get
lost or need any advice then telephone the Cortijo on 958 601734
or the Mobile number is 654 926 697.
From
Malaga:
A
journey of approximately 110kms and taking about 90mins.
On
leaving Malaga airport, initially follow the road signs for Malaga,
driving over the flyover in the left hand lane. Almost immediately
on joining Autovia del Mediterraneo, pick up the signs for Granada/Motril.
Avoid signs for Torremolinos as they take you down the west coast
towards all the large resorts. Keep in the direction of Motril/Almuñecar/Almeria
until you leave the motorway at Nerja. Stay on the N340 driving
along the coast through Almuñecar,
Salobreña and then Motril.
Ignore
the first slip road into Motril as it's easier to take the second
which avoids the town centre. Turn left down the second slip road
which has many car dealerships and garages and small industrial
units. Drive for about 1km, turn right at first traffic lights by Plus Superdescuento supermarket and Rapidmuebles furniture warehouse, then immediate right turn again at small roundabout - Taller Mediterraneo mechanics will be opposite. Follow this road for about 3kms, passing the
new housing development (Balcon de San Fernando) and La Latino school (passing El Cortijo Restaurant on your right),
both of which are on the left hand side. Before reaching Puntalon,
just after a sign marked Las Ventillas, turn right off the far side
of the red bridge by the new development, Puntalon Inversiones into a dirt track, a dry riverbed should be on
your right and the Municipal Vivero buildings (marked Oficina Municipal
Rambla Puntalon). Passing the new development, take the
third gap on the left, about 250m, and head towards the small grey
garage which looks like a dead end, and the Cortijo is just around
the corner with black gates and bamboo fence, adjacent the large
plastic greenhouse. If there is space park under the car port.

From
Almeria:
A
journey of approximately 110kms and taking about 90mins.

leaving Almeria airport take the Autovia del Mediterraneo signed
to Ejido/Adra/Motril. After Adra the motorway stops and joins the
coastal road which is the N340.
When

From

south from Granada and just before the coast the road joins the
N340 coast road just west of Motril. Turn left at the roundabout
and drive for about 2kms.
